Warming felt slippers made from 100% pure sheep’s wool from the Tiroler Bergschaf. This rare and tough breed of sheep lives in the mountains of the Tyrol. The fibres are untreated and undyed!
Sheep’s wool is a renewable resource, offering a wide range of properties particularly suitable for slippers: Besides absorbing moisture without ever feeling wet, it is dirt and water-repellent and self-cleaning. Odours are easily eliminated by airing out the slippers, which are excellent at retaining your body heat.
Drawing inspiration from hiking tours in the Tyrolean mountains, Viola Hofer creates her designs in her atelier in Innsbruck where the slippers also undergo a high-quality screen printing process. The wool from the Tyrol region is stamped out and stitched in Austria, and the sole is coated with non-slip latex for a sure footing.
